Decentralized Control for Optimizing Communication with Infeasible Regions

چکیده
In this paper we present a decentralized gradient-based controller that optimizes communication between mobile aerial vehicles and stationary ground sensor vehicles in an environment with infeasible regions. The formulation of our problem as a MIQP is easily implementable, and we show that the addition of a scaling matrix can improve the range of attainable converged solutions by influencing trajectories to move around infeasible regions. We demonstrate the robustness of the controller in 3D simulation with agent failure, and in 10 trials of a multi-agent hardware experiment with quadrotors and ground sensors in an indoor environment. Lastly, we provide analytical guarantees that our controller strictly minimizes a nonconvex cost along agent trajectories, a desirable property for general multi-agent coordination tasks.

Dividing Wall Column(DWC) offers the large potential for operating and capital cost saving in compared with conventional distillation sequence. In the studied DWC in this study, the aid of Vmin diagrams, it is shown that without a suitable value for vapor split fraction bellow the dividing wall in different operating conditions, the energy requirement increases from optimal value and it wil...
متن کاملThird-order Decentralized Safe Consensus Protocol for Inter-connected Heterogeneous Vehicular Platoons
In this paper, the stability analysis and control design of heterogeneous traffic flow is considered. It is assumed that the traffic flow consists of infinite number of cooperative non-identical vehicular platoons. Two different networks are investigated in stability analysis of heterogeneous traffic flow: 1) inter-platoon network which deals with the communication topology of lead vehicles and...
متن کاملAn infeasible interior-point method for the $P*$-matrix linear complementarity problem based on a trigonometric kernel function with full-Newton step
An infeasible interior-point algorithm for solving the$P_*$-matrix linear complementarity problem based on a kernelfunction with trigonometric barrier term is analyzed. Each (main)iteration of the algorithm consists of a feasibility step andseveral centrality steps, whose feasibility step is induced by atrigonometric kernel function. The complexity result coincides withthe best result for infea...
متن کاملMeasurement Scheduling for Recursive Team Estimation 1
We consider a decentralized LQG measurement scheduling problem in which every measurement is costly, no communication between observers is permitted, and the observers' estimation errors are coupled quadratically. This setup, motivated by considerations from organization theory, models measurement scheduling problems in which cost, bandwidth, or security constraints necessitate that estimates b...
متن کاملOptimizing decentralized production–distribution planning problem in a multi-period supply chain network under uncertainty
Decentralized supply chain management is found to be significantly relevant in today’s competitive markets. Production and distribution planning is posed as an important optimization problem in supply chain networks. Here, we propose a multi-period decentralized supply chain network model with uncertainty. The imprecision related to uncertain parameters like demand and price of the final produc...
